Day 2: 7th Apr, Saturday since the car was pretty useless in a cbd given the ridiculous parking fees that we had to pay, walking to the Aotea Market (read as a-yo-tay-ear) that was just 5-10 minutes away from my hostel would be the best option. (parking at 4 per hour for the ones off the road, some others were like $5 for the first half an hour, $8 for one hour..madness!)!it is somewhat like our pasar malam but at much higher prices of course. taken in front of the square with liling.  there were these two girls by the side of the square asking for free hugs and we happily went for it. haha. i have seen this in singapore and i merely gave them the dont-you-have-anything-better-to-do look. hahaha. blatant biasness.   the highlight of the day was...SHOPPING AT SYLVIA PARK - the biggest shopping centre in new zealand!!! hahaha. the girls were very pleased with their trophies though it was regrettable that we only had 2-3 hours. with friday and sunday being the public holidays and resumption of a dead town like that on friday, all hell breaks loose today! my floodgates opened at the Foodtown instead. grocery shopping!!! hahaha!!! and i found my eating kaki! ron!! we stocked up so much!! as though there was going to be an imminent war or famine of sort. hahaha. chips, milk, nachos with salsa, chocolate, cheese..oh my god..and the list goes on. this trip is effectively the EATING TRIP for ron and i. the mouth simply cannot stop moving..and so does the weighing scale. wahaha. apparently, having pizza for dinner didnt seem satisfying enough. so more dunkin donuts (the pathetic one which we had yesterday was certainly not enough) and mrs higgins! the mouse (me, born in the year of rat) and tiger (ron, born in the year of tiger) were hungry. squeak squeak. roaR! with a bag of dunkin donuts (5+1) and posing in front of mrs higgins after our purchase.  salivating!!  dominos pizza! funky chicken tasted really good!
